The Bible never states: “Thy shalt not be a racist”.
In fact, you can consider God a racist, if you see that God chose one race (Israel) to be the Chosen People. The definition of racism is choosing one race as superior to other races. God choosing Israel as the Chosen People is, by definition, racist.
You can see that Jesus Christ was a racist in the New Testament.
Jesus Christ says racist things such as calling a Samaritan woman a “dog”, which is clearly racist in nature. Jesus Christ, in more than one occasion, seems to denigrate Samaritans as an inferior people.
If God fits the modern definition of “racist” and Jesus Christ fits the modern definition of “racist” as considering some races as inferior, then racism cannot be described as sin.
In other words, those who say that racism is a “SIN” are wrong and are not telling the truth, insofar as the Bible is concerned.
God is not opposed to the idea of a Chosen People or a superior race.
What the Bible opposes is hatred. But one can think that one is superior as a race, without hating other races.
It is important not to put words into God’s mouth. God never says that racism is sin. So, you should not, as well!
Politicians and even some preachers are making it look like obeying the law of the land is a duty of Christians. That is just not true.
Before looking at the issue, more closely, let us look at the motivation of politicians in trying to box Christians in to being law abiding citizens. Often, politicians have a vested interest in doing what they want to do, regardless of what US citizens they trample on or what religious laws the nation violates. Obviously, the Gay Marriage decision of the US Supreme Court violates the Law of God. But it is the law of the land. Politicians, want Christians to lay their arms down and comply. Politics is all about power and control of the populace, unfortunately. Jesus Christ resisted control of the politician of His day and broke the law of the land, many times. WWJD?
Some religious leaders in America are nudging America’s Christians to follow the law of the land and be law-abiding citizens. They may do this because they are afraid of retaliation from the US government or the IRS. In a sense, fear drive such religious leaders from whole-heartedly following the Law of God and leading Christians to follow the Law of God in the Bible. They fear this world and the powers of this world. Jesus Christ clearly opposed such religious leaders and called on people to follow Him, even if it meant breaking the law of the land. Thus, throughout the thousands of years of Christian history, many Christians have violated the law of the land and were arrested, including all the apostles of Jesus Christ in Early Christian Church. WWJD?
Unfortunately, many American churches have gone away from the Bible, like at the time of the Christian Reformation by Martin Luther. At that time, the only Christian denomination in Europe, which was the Roman Catholic Church, stated that buying a piece of paper (indulgences) can provide eternal salvation, Yes, it is not in the Bible. But these church leaders pushed unbiblical ideas onto the population as official leaders of the church. At the time of Martin Luther in 1517, 100% of the churches were corrupt, and 100% of the churches sought to persecute Martin Luther, so Martin Luther went into hiding for 2 years.
100% of the local churches in a continent or a country can become completely corrupt. This is proven by history and the Reformation.
This can happen in America.
It is important to leave churches, in which the pastor is telling the church members to follow the law of the land, even when it goes against the Bible. They are not true servants of the LORD Jesus Christ, since Jesus Christ willingly broke laws of the land and taught His disciples to do so, when they contradicted the Word of God.
You should be bold enough to leave that church and find a church, where the preacher is bold enough in the Holy Spirit to encourage church members to break the law of the land, when it contracts the Bible.
If you cannot find such a church, then you should get a group of like-minded Christians and start your own local church (house church like in the New Testament). For you and your household, you will serve the LORD Jesus Christ. You don’t have to go down with the Titanic. Some Mega-Churches have kneeled at the foot of Satan and are telling people to follow the law of the land. You should leave such a church, immediately. It does not matter who the big-name-value preacher is; he has made it known that he stands with the world and world’s powers and not with God’s Word and the LORD Jesus Christ.
You will be judged by the LORD Jesus Christ for the decisions that you make. If you make the decision to stay with a Mega-Church that tells you to follow the law of the land, even when it contradicts with the Bible, then you will find yourself in eternal damnation in Hell, when you meet your Maker. Everyone must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and everyone is responsible for his or her own faith.
The Republican Party, unfortunately, is not really looking out for Christian interest. Yes, they are paying lip service … you know, kind of trying to get your vote. But they are not doing anything to overturn the United States Supreme Court decision forcing all Americans to submit to Gay Marriage Laws. United States is in a situation in which even if a Republican is elected US President, you will still be arrested for violating the US law (the US Supreme Court decision). How do you know? Look at what Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, and John Kasich are saying; they are saying, “It is the law of the land, so it should be obeyed.” Translation? You will be arrested if you are a true born-again Christian who follows the Word of God and oppose Gay Marriage Laws, as Kim Davis does. You will be arrested because men like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio will order the police to arrest Christians like you, when they become US President. There is no proof that they will do otherwise. And all that they have said and done point in the direction of you being arrested via the use of the Patriot Act and federal law enforcement agencies, like the FBI and NSA and the Department of Homeland Security, and through local law enforcement authorities, like the police. What’s in it for you to have a Republican President? If it is Jeb Bush or Lindsey Graham, there is prison time in store for you, like Kim Davis, for following the Bible. You cannot trust the Republican Party and the Republican Party establishment. Do you see Jeb Bush being sympathetic to Kim Davis or visiting her in prison? Jeb Bush and Lindsey Grahm of South Carolina are nothing more than Pontius Pilate type who will see the courts arrest you and enforce their laws. You cannot trust the Republican Party or a Republican US President to protect you and other Christians from arrest and prison time and being fired from your job. Only way you are going to ensure protection of you and other Christians is via illegalizing homosexuality and gay marriage. It’s either that they get arrested or you get arrested. There is no middle ground, here. Why do you think Kim Davis is arrested? There is no middle ground. It’s either or. Either gay marriage is illegalized and you remain free as a truly born again Christian, or gay marriage is the “Law of the Land” and you get arrested. Look at Kim Davis.
Yes, Ms. Kim Davis, who is the Kentucky county clerk refusing to issue gay marriage licenses and was therefore arrested by the US government, is a hero of America’s Christianity, because she rather obey God rather than men. Read about her case:
There may not be 50 righteous people in America who are willing to sacrifice everything for Christ, but there is at least 1, and that is reassuring.
Consider this: The police officer who arrested her is probably a “Christian”, but the police officer did not love Jesus Christ enough; he did not refuse to participate in the persecution of a Christian who was following the Bible.
Everyone has a choice. They can choose Jesus or the world (or world’s powers). That choice existed with Kim Davis just as much as the police officer who arrested her. He is like the soldiers who followed orders to arrest Jesus Christ or St. Paul or St. Peter. Throughout history, such police officers followed orders to arrest Christians and participated in the persecution of Christians.
Are they not guilty?
Of course, they are!
Consider this. Nazi officers after World War 2 said that they were not guilty because they were following orders. Visit the website below:
Are police officers or soldiers following orders guilty of what they do when following orders results in the persecution of Christians?
Yes, the so-called Christian police officer who arrested Kim Davis will burn in Hell, forever, unless he repents and refuses to arrest anti-homosexuality Christians whom he is ordered to arrest in the future. Everyone has a choice to do the right thing or do the wrong thing.
It is unfortunate that the United States Supreme Court has brought this unfortunate situation upon American police officers in all 50 states. Now, the eternal life of America’s police officers is on line. Now, they can follow orders and participate in American government’s persecution of Christians, and they would be, therefore, doing the work of Satan, just by doing their job and following orders.
This is what happens, when the Law of the Land directly opposes the Law of God and the Bible.
During the French Revolution and the Russian Revolution, soldiers and police officers refused to follow orders. Without these police officers and soldiers, the French Revolution and the Russian Revolution would not have succeeded.
Everyone has a choice. If you are a police officer, you can choose to participate in the persecution of Christians or not. If you disobey orders as a police officer or a soldier, you may be arrested or shot. But many Christians in history have gladly given their life for Christ to obey the Word of God.
That’s what Kim Davis did. She gave her freedom up for Christ. That’s what a true disciples of Christ do.
A true disciple (1) denies self (such things as freedom) for Christ, (2) take up the cross (which means, even go to death for Christ), and (3) follows Jesus Christ. And this is what Kim Davis did. But this is precisely what the police officer who arrested Kim Davis did NOT do. He could have refused to participate in the persecution of Christians and be a true disciple of Christ.
The Fraternal Order of Police Officers has a choice. Each police officer has a choice. They can choose to participate in the persecution of Christians and go to eternal damnation in Hell, or they can choose to be a disciple of Christ and be willing to go to jail as Kim Davis did, St. Paul did, St. Peter did, and millions of Christians did throughout the past 2,000 years.
Being a disciple of Christ is an active choice. You are not a disciple of Christ just because you go to church. Many people who go to church go for wrong reasons. Many people who go to church will go to eternal damnation in Hell, because they are not truly born again.
If you are truly born again, then you will exhibit yourself as a true disciple of Christ.
We need Christians to join the police department, precisely to become Christian testimonies by refusing to arrest true, born-again Christians who follow the Bible. This testimony will do more to advance the Christian Gospel than handing out a million Christian tracts, door to door, or preaching 1,000 sermons at a church.
Christianity was built on the faith of Christians who willingly denied themselves freedoms and even life to follow the Word of God, the Holy Bible.
Have a look at this book about Rev. Sang-Dong Han, whose willingness to defy the Law of the Land and go to jail for disobeying the Law of the Land helped the growth of Christianity in Buddhist Korea.
Some Christian pastors are going away from the history of Christianity and the tradition of the Christian church by saying: “We should love homosexuals.” The problem with this is that the Bible never says that the Christian Church (Body of Christ) should love homosexuals. And it has been a consistent practice of the Christian Church to condemn not only homosexuality but homosexuals themselves. Either 2000 years of Christian churches was wrong or these so-called Christian leaders of modern 2015 United States of America are wrong; both cannot be right. In this light, the question that you are asking is pertinent. If Jesus Christ wanted Americans in 2015 to love homosexuals, then would He not say so? At least, Jesus Christ would show through example that we should love homosexuals. But Jesus Christ never does. In fact, Jesus Christ never shared the Gospel with homosexuals. There were a lot of homosexuals at the time of Jesus Christ, but Jesus Christ never shared the Gospels with homosexuals. Why? Answer may be found in Sodom and Gomorrah. God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah because God hates homosexuals (the people) and homosexuality (the act). Jesus Christ is God, so it was Jesus Christ who killed every living thing in Sodom and Gomorrah. Since Jesus Christ as God hates homosexuals (the people) as well as homosexuality (the act), Jesus Christ never tried to share the Gospel with homosexuals. WWJD. This is why for 2000 years, the Christian Church never loved homosexuals (the people) or tried to share the Gospel with them. In this regard, preachers in TV are treading dangerous ground before God by saying that you should love homosexuals. The Bible is clearly against this.
Many Christians today are influenced by humanistic, secular value system of unconditional love and acceptance, regardless of what people do or reject. Thus, they project onto Jesus Christ of the Bible and history their secular, humanistic ideals of unconditional love. Jesus Christ never loved unconditionally. Jesus Christ gave salvation only to those who accepted Him as their personal Savior and Christ rejected and condemned those who did not accept Him as their personal LORD and Savior. Despite what the Bible shows, many Christians today are blinded by the secular, humanistic worldview that they unwittingly are a part of and unconsciously endorse. But it is important to read the Bible and see what the Bible actually teaches. Humans can err and go away from the Bible. It happened to Adam and Eve, and it could happen to you. The answer to the question – “Did Jesus Christ ever threaten people’s lives?” – shows whether you are influenced by secular, humanistic worldview or if you are submitting to the Bible and Bible’s authority. Some like to say that God in the Old Testament threatened and punished, but Jesus Christ in the New Testament just loved unconditionally. That just is not true. Christ Jesus never loved (or loves) unconditionally. This is nowhere more clear than when Jesus Christ threatened people with death, if they do not repent. Jesus Christ says in Luke 13:4-5: “Or those 18 that the tower in Siloam fell on and killed–do you think they were more sinful than all the people who live in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all perish as well!” The New Testament is clear on showing Jesus Christ as threatening people with death if they do not repent. In the Age of Grace, God does and will kill people physically as divine punishment for not repenting. Thus, cancer and terminal illnesses that people get and die from pre-maturely can be seen as punishment from God for sinning/not repenting. There are exceptions (Job), but the exceptions prove the rule. Bible is the Truth, and God (Jesus Christ) is the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
In modern humanistic culture that has been shaped and molded by Political Correctness, anger itself is seen as evil or prosecutable. Thus, some preachers in TV portray Jesus Christ as never having become angry. This is certainly untrue, of course. Anyone who reads the Bible can see that Jesus Christ was angry often. Unfortunately, many people follow the humanistic values of the world, rather than the Bible. Thus, there are many wrong portrayals of Jesus Christ, which is evident in light of the Bible itself. Jesus Christ was often angry, especially at the leaders of Judaism, like the Pharisees and the Sadducees. But Jesus Christ is God. Maybe it’s okay for Christ to be angry, but not okay for His followers to be angry? This is a question that is asked by some of you. Is it okay to be angry or is anger itself wrong for human beings? Bible never condemns anger. In the Gospels, Jesus Christ never condemns anger, either. In fact, Jesus Christ is careful to distinguish between anger that is not justified and anger that is justified. Christ condemns anger that has no righteous cause. In Matthew 5:22, Jesus Christ says: “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.” It is wrong to be angry with someone without a cause, which is justified. But it is okay to be angry with someone for a justifiable cause. Thus, Christians who are angry with the Senate for not defunding Planned Parenthood would be justified in their anger, since abortion is murder of babies. Have a look at the anger shared by Donald Trump, who is running for US President in 2016: http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/04/politics/donald-trump-government-shutdown-planned-parenthood/
The New Testament shows that true Christians can have moments of doubt, even about Jesus Christ. This is clear from when John the Baptist was imprisoned. John the Baptist had his doubts, so he sent messengers to ask Jesus Christ, “Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?” (Matthew 11:3). Jesus Christ understood that humans (even preachers) can have moments of weakness, so Christ sent reassurances to John the Baptist that He is the Divine Messiah. If you are a Christian who has moments of doubt, that does not necessarily mean that you are not truly born-again. It is possible for you as a human being to have moments of weakness. But the important thing is for you to seek reassurances from God as John the Baptist did and ask God to give you faith.
