If a person is ignorant about God’s Law, will God excuse that person?

Ignorance of the Law is NO excuse.

Just because you do not know God’s Law, that does not excuse you from God’s judgement, when you break God’s Law.

You may say that it is unfair, but God has given you the law in clear print.  The Bible clearly states the Law of God in the New Testament and the Old Testament.  You can read it.  So, you have no excuse for being ignorant of God’s Law.

Ignorance of the Law is NO excuse.

In fact, the Bible states that the Law of God is written in nature and in our conscience.

Romans 1: 18-20 clearly states that God’s Creation (or Nature) declares God’s Law (God’s Morality), so that no one is without excuse.  God will judge.  For example, homosexuality is clearly against nature, because homosexuality cannot result in an offspring being created.  It is against nature, as God designed it.

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Romans 2:12-16 shows that besides nature, every human being has a conscience (“heart”), in which God prescribed God’s Law:

12 All who sin apart from the Law will also perish apart from the Law, and all who sin under the Law will be judged by the Law. 13 For it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the Law who will be declared righteous.

14 Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the Law, do by nature what the Law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the Law, 15 since they show that the work of the Law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them. 16 This will come to pass on that day when God will judge men’s secrets through Christ Jesus, as proclaimed by my gospel.

The above Bible passage clearly shows that God will judge and all will be liable for breaking the Law of God, because even those who may not hold the Bible in their hand have conscience given by God in which the Law of God is written.

Ignorance of the Law is no excuse.
