Does the purpose of the Christian church require pastors to preach on politics?

Yes, Christian pastors are required to preach on politicial issues, because it is important to meet the needs of the whole Christian, which includes the role of the Christian in society.

Politics involves everyone, whether they like it or not, so it is absolutely required that Christian preachers discuss Christianity and its role and function in politics and society.

It is necessary for Christian pastors to provide guidance for church members on how to follow the Bible when they vote or function as citizens in countries, becuase as disciples of Christ, God’s Word should guide their heart and mind.

When pastors ignore politics and elections during Sunday sermon, such pastors are being negligent and rejecting the duty that God requires of them.

Standard of Care owed by Christian pastors for church members is specific directions from the Holy Bible on how to think about and act on current politicial issues of the day.  Glory should be given to God!

Does Palm Sunday show that Christ wants to be honored as a King by Christians?

The fact that Jesus Christ was willing to ride on a donkey in political statement in Jerusalem shows that Jesus Christ wants to be honored politically as King.

Some Christians mistakenly think that Jesus Christ does not want poitical representation.  They are wrong, and the Gospel accounts of Palm Sunday show this.

Christianity has always been intentionally political since the very beginning.

Jesus Christ shows that He engages in political activity in the capital city.

Jesus Christ wants all Christians to be political in their nation, whether you are in the USA, the United Kigdom, Canada, Australia, South Korea, China, Japan, Germany, or any other city.

It is a part of Christian obligation to be political.

Christians who are not political are not following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, since Jesus Christ was very political during His ministry on earth.

Christians must fight to illegalize homosexuality through political process, so that national and state laws will outlaw homosexuality with the threat of Capital Punishment for those who openly engage in homosexual activities.

Will God of the Bible punish Christians in America who do not vote on 2012 Election Day?

God expects Christians to be actively involved in society.

Jesus Christ expects Christians to be the salt and the light of the world.  This requires that Christians are actively involved in the society.  Voting is an essential part of being the salt and light of the world, since who becomes the mayor, governor, Senator, US Representative, US President directly impacts how the American society will be.  American society can be a society that is touched by salt and light and be a good society that follows the Bible with a righteous, God-fearing US President.

Or US can become an evil empire that advances gay rights, gay marriage, and persecutes Christian value system.

Serious problem with Hillary Clinton is that she wants to push a moral system that is directly opposed to the Holy Bible.  Thus, it is a Christian responsibility to vote against her.

Any American citizen who does not vote (which will help Hillary Clinton) or vote for Hillary Clinton are not being the salt and light of the world.  They are supporting advancing anti-Christian elements in the American society.  Thus, God will hold every American citizen who do not vote responsible and will punish them and their family for not being the salt and light of the world in the election process and American politics.
